Active ingredients
Oily skin is characterized by excess sebum, a naturally produced mixture of fats, oils and waxy matter. The main cause of acne is chronic inflammation in the skin that occurs when sebaceous glands and hair follicles become blocked.
Beta Hydroxy Acids, among them Salicylic Acid, are lipid soluble and can penetrate the protective lipid layer into deeper layers of the epidermis and act there. Its ability to clean the pores, improve the proliferation of new skin cells increasing the skin’s thickness make it effective and often used in acne treatments.
A zinc oxide which is used to diminish pores, protect and soothe the skin, and also disinfects and prevents infections.
Healing properties, including the ability to cure infections of all kinds and anti-viral capability and antiseptic. It also has sedative and anesthetic capacity , and is effective in the treatment of acne and problem prone skin.
